Effective date: November 2026 • Controller: The imagepie Project

1. Controller & Project Identity

imagepie is operated as an independent software project ("the imagepie project"). It is designed to run self-playing photo presentations on modern browser-enabled screens without creating an account, subscribing, or submitting personal profiles. No contact desk or published individual address is maintained for the project.

2. No Server-Side Photo Storage

Photos you load into imagepie are never uploaded to, inspected by, or stored on imagepie servers or any third-party cloud infrastructure. All image decoding, composition, pacing, and rendering occur entirely inside your web browser.

3. On-Device Storage & Persistence

To allow your slideshow to resume without reloading images every time you reopen the page, imagepie stores photos locally in your browser’s storage APIs, specifically the Origin Private File System (OPFS) and IndexedDB.

This data remains on your physical device and is subject to your browser’s storage persistence policies. The browser may evict local data if storage on your device runs low.

4. Same-Network Remote Pairing & Signaling Metadata

imagepie includes an optional feature allowing you to select photos on a phone and display them on a TV or secondary screen.

When you use pairing, photo files travel directly browser-to-browser over WebRTC on the same local network. imagepie operates a lightweight rendezvous service exclusively to exchange short-lived connection metadata (session codes, network addresses, and SDP offers/answers) so the two devices can discover each other.

Photo bytes are never transmitted to or held by the signaling service. Pairing records have short time-to-live (TTL) limits and are pruned as sessions expire; however, imagepie does not offer an independent hard-deletion service-level agreement (SLA) for temporary relay records.

5. No Analytics, Tracking, or Advertising

imagepie contains no analytics trackers, tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party behavioral monitoring scripts. We do not track visitors across websites or collect user profiles.

6. Managing and Clearing Your Data

Because all photos exist solely on your device, you have complete control over data removal:

  • Use the reset option directly within imagepie to clear loaded photographs.
  • Use your browser settings ("Clear Browsing Data" or "Site Settings → imagepie → Clear Data") to remove all IndexedDB and OPFS files stored by the origin.
